What Is the Difference Between Exterior and Interior Detailing?
My car met with an accident and one panel got repainted. How much is the charge for that particular panel?
The first panel is always on the house! For additional panels, the charges would be 10% of the cost paid initially per panel, taxes extra.
My car has lost water beading/ hydrophobic effect. Does that mean the coating is gone?
No. Ceramic Coating shows the hydrophobic effect and water beading effect because of its water repelling nature. However, that occurs when water directly comes in contact with the coated surface. With time, weather, environment the car stays in, the contaminants might build up over time on the surface, which doesn’t go in a normal wash. In this scenario, the hydrophobic effect might not be like the freshly coated car. However, It still performs to show its benefits. The contaminants are also removed in the subsequent maintenance regimes and would continue to show the water beading effect.
Will the vehicle develop swirl marks after Ceramic Coating also?
Swirl marks mainly occur due to the improper maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle.
Cleaning the car with dirty cloth is the most common reason for developing swirl marks.
Since the ceramic coating is very hard, it reduces the amount of swirl marks that develops on the surface, however, doesn’t guarantee that the same won’t occur. However, the same again gets reduced in the further maintenance coats and can be treated as per the customer demands. The average recommended time for the maintenance regime is every 12 months for the coated vehicles depending upon the package.
Is ceramic coating recommended on only new car or old car as well? Will the swirl marks be removed in the Ceramic Coating process?
Swirl marks mostly occur in the clearcoat of the paint only. Clearcoat is the topmost layer in the paint process which seals the base coat and provides shine. Swirl marks are mainly removed in the pre-ceramic coating process and usually removed. However, in case the paint is too old where the clearcoat level is almost diminished, we don’t recommend removing the same as it might deplete the clearcoat left.
How soon can the vehicle be washed after the ceramic coating application?
Recommended time period is 7 days, however, it may vary according to the climate and weather conditions.
How long does ceramic coating take to cure before driving the Car?
The recommended period for taking the car out for a spin is at least 24 hours after the coating application is done. However, depending upon the weather and temperature, the time may vary.
